The World Is on Fire. So Why Am I Still Talking About Herbal Tea?

Some days I sit down to post about tea and all I can think is:
The world is burning. And I’m supposed to post content about herbal tea?

It feels almost absurd.
Another curated photo. Another recipe. Another reel.

Meanwhile...
Children are starving. Families are being torn apart.
Our nervous systems are fried.
The planet is screaming.
And half the people I know feel like they’re barely holding on.

But here’s what I’ve realized:

Tea is not a distraction. It’s resistance.
It’s nervous system repair. It’s a way back to yourself.
It’s a sacred pause in a world that wants you to keep numbing, scrolling, producing, consuming.

And if you’re someone who feels the weight of the world - who’s heartbroken and angry and exhausted - you don’t need to do more.
You need support.
Not the kind that comes in a self-help book or a motivational quote.
The kind that comes from the Earth.

Herbal tea won’t fix the world.

But it might help you survive it.
And that matters.

We’re not meant to be this overstimulated, this inflamed, this full of despair.
But here we are. So what do we do?

We ground.
We breathe.
We remember that the world doesn’t need more people spiraling in fear. It needs more people who are rooted, regulated, and clear.
It needs you, resourced and steady, to keep showing up for what matters.

That’s what herbal tea does for me. When I’m overwhelmed and buzzing with too many headlines and too little hope, I reach for a root blend, like burdock + dandelion in our Glow Herbal Tea, to pull me back into the body

When I can’t get out of bed and everything feels pointless, I steep a blend of tulsi + green tea (Focus Tea) and let it carry me through the fog.

When I feel cracked open and anxious and just need to soften, I turn to skullcap, catnip, and chamomile (Unwind Herbal Tea) - herbs that don’t ask me to change, just sit with me in it.
No judgment. No push. Just presence.

If they want to break your spirit, your slowness is rebellion.

If they want you distracted, your clarity is a weapon.
If they want you hopeless, your joy is resistance.

So yeah - I’m going to keep talking about herbal tea.

Because when I drink it, I remember who I am.
And when you drink it, maybe you remember too.

And maybe it’s not tea for you.
Maybe it’s painting. Or writing. Or organizing. Or growing food. Or building something so beautiful it makes people believe again.

Whatever it is — follow it.
Because your light doesn’t make you selfish. It makes you useful.

When you’re lit up, you have energy to give. When you’re nourished, you have clarity to offer. When you’re whole, you can help others heal.

The world doesn’t need more martyrs. It needs more people who are alive.

So let the tea ground you. Let it remind you who you are. And then follow what sets you on fire, because that’s where your medicine lives.

And we need your medicine.

All of it.

This work - showing up, building something beautiful, helping people feel a little more human in their bodies - it matters.
Even when it feels too small.
Even when it’s not enough.

Because if we stop showing up, they win.
And I’m not interested in handing over the future that easily.

So pour your cup of herbal tea.
Let yourself rest.
Feel the grief.
Hold the anger.
And then, when you're ready, rise.

You're not too sensitive. You're not too soft.
You're exactly who the world needs.

And if you need a little help getting there, that’s what MediTea is for.
Because you deserve support. You deserve softness. You deserve to feel well enough to keep going.
